Owner and Beaufort Native Courtney Glover started Brown Sugar Custom Cakes in 2011. She is a 2008 graduate of College of Charleston, with a degree in Business Management and Hospitality and Tourism Concentration.

Courtney has always been interested in events and baking, since constantly checking out party and cooking books from the local library since elementary school. After taking a few decorating classes before graduating college, she discovered her passion for baking and creating beautiful cakes. Now with almost 16 years of experience, she prides herself in making cakes that are both beautiful and tastes great.

Courtney has been published on many online blogs, including Style Me Pretty and Wedding Chicks. She had also been published  A Lowcountry Wedding  Magazine, Summer/Fall 2017, and The Knot Carolinas Magazine, Fall/Winter 2017 issue.

When not decorating cakes, in her spare time, she's a plant and cat mom, and loves to read and travel.
